Academician of the Russian Academy of Science (Moscow), Director of The Institute of Scientific Information for Social Sciences of the Russian Academy of Science (Moscow); Head of the Division ‘Education, Scientific and Cultural Policy’ at the Expert Council of the Federation Council of Russia; member of the Scientific Council of the Foreign Ministry; current research interests include history of Russian social and political thought, history of political culture and statehood of Russia, comparative historical analysis of political thought and political culture of Russia and the West, the theory and methodology of humanitarian knowledge.
